5 Minute Vanilla Bean Cashew Frosting (GF, Low sugar, vegan option, Paleo)

This creamy delicious cashew frosting is made from 3 simple ingredients. Cashews, almond milk and a little vanilla extract! It only takes about 5 minutes to whip up and pairs well with everything from cupcakes, cookies, cakes and even brownies! If you are looking for a chocolate frosting you can add in some cacao!

  • Blender/ Food processor


  • 1 Cup Cashews soaked in water overnight or pour boiling water over them and let them soak for 30 minutes.
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tbsp honey/maple syrup optional if you like more sweetness
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins vanilla collagen creamer optional


  • For the cashews, soak in room temperature water for at least 2 hrs or overnight. If you can't wait boil some water and pour it over the cashews for about 30 minutes or until the cashews are soft and have absorbed some water.
  • Once the cashews have soaked. Drain the water and add the cashews to a blender or food processor.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and blend.
  • Blend until the cashews and remaining ingredients become creamy and smooth. This should take about 5-6 minutes depending on the blender you are using.
