Easy Gluten Free Banana Fudge Brownies

Easy Gluten Free Banana Fudge Brownies

Breakfast Brownies or Banana Brownies?

Take your vote in the comments what you think I should name these Brownies!

I just can’t decide!

In the mean time, I do know that these Banana Brownies were my breakfast, snack and dessert all in one day and they were gone by the 2nd day, so be prepared to maybe make two batches just in case!

Back to the Basics

Some brownies out there require every ingredient in your kitchen and then some, but as someone who is not skilled at baking ( I have my moments) I prefer to keep my baking basic and normally that’s when I have the most success!

These brownies were one of those moments! They hit just about every check mark I have when baking/making anything!

  • Is is cooked/baked?  Yes!
  • Does it taste good?   HECK YES!
  • Does it look okay?     Normally I don’t care but in this case I hoped!

So I have a pretty small checklist here but honestly as long as it’s cooked and tastes great I’m happy!

Back to the Basics: Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Banana Brownies!

  1. 2 Bananas
  2. Cacao Powder
  3. Chocolate Protein Powder
  4. Almond Butter (any nut butter will work here!)
  5. Pinch of salt
  6. Baking Powder
  7. Chocolate Chips! (my favorite!)

More about the ingredients

  • For the bananas the riper the better! Usually the more ripe they are the sweeter they taste! I don’t like adding much sugar to my recipes so ripe bananas are how I like to sweeten these brownies!

**Feel free to add some maple syrup or honey if you need a bit more sweetness to your life!

  • For the cacao powder I used Navita’s Cacao Powder.  Which you can find here!
  • You probably know by now but I LOVE Nuzest protein powder and use it in almost everything! So my protein powder of choice in this recipe was Nuzest Chocolate! Check them out here and if you want some of your own to try use the code HOLLYSBESTLIFE for 15% off your order!
  • For the nut butter I used NuttZo chocolate power fuel but really any nut butter works here!

*But if you really love chocolate try it here! Hollysbestlife gets you a discount too!

  • And of course for the chocolate chips you can use whatever brand you prefer! Some of my favorites are Lily’s (no sugar added), Enjoy Life, Pascha, and ChocZero!
The brownies are my actual dream!

Preparing the Brownies

To be honest there really isn’t much to these brownies in terms of preparing, which is why I love them so much!

  1. In a mixing bowl  add the  bananas and mash them with a fork.
  2. Add in the cacao powder, protein powder and almond butter and mix with a spatula.
  3. Add in the baking powder, salt and chocolate chips and mix again.
  4. In a 8×8 baking dish bake for 15 minutes at 350!

Note: At 15 minutes they are still FUDGEY and gooey in the center. If you like them a little less gooey bake for 20 minutes!

Let cool and enjoy!
